Selection Procedure
Eligible candidates are called to appear for the admission test. All the
candidates are first medically examined and those found fit are
administered a battery of physical fitness test. It is followed by
testing in respective game / sport.
Those who qualify the primary selection test are called for a final
selection for which the candidates are required to stay on the campus
for a period of two weeks. Accommodation, food and medical facilities
are provided by the Institute. During this period, the candidates are
extensively tested in their respective game / sport. They are also
tested in selected physiological and psychological variables in addition
to a thorough medical examination. On the last day of the 2nd week,
candidates are required to attend a written test.
Having qualified in the admission test, the candidates are provisionally
admitted. At the end of the academic year, if any candidate is found to
be unsuitable to pursue long term training programme, he/she may be
sent back from the institution without assigning any reason there of.
Trainees for Boxing, Swimming and Gymnastics are admitted in classes IV
through VII. Trainees for other disciplines namely Athletics,
Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Shooting and Tennis are admitted
in class VII. Schooling for trainees of classes IV through VI is
arranged in the Public School of BKSP, located inside the campus.
